Clinical Applications of Herbalism

Herbalism is a thousands year old practice.

Have you ever wondered how medicines came to be? The shortest version is this- It began with plants.  Some in the form of foods that we eat, some in the form of “weeds” in our gardens, and some even in the form of what grew out of our fermenting foods and plants.  Herbalism is literally thousands of years old and has undergone an interesting transformation in how it is utilized.  As such, there are many ways in which an Herbalist would approach the use of the same plant.  Many think of Herbalism strictly as an Eastern medicinal approach. Some approach Herbalism strictly for the main, or most popular, function of an herb. Because I am also a Certified Nutritionist Consultant, I approach Herbalism from not only each herb’s indicated uses, but also from a nutritive standpoint.

When formulating a blend, I always ask myself not only which herbs cleanse and tone, but which herbs nourish the targeted gland, organ, system or symptom.  In doing so, I utilize the full potential of herbs by combining specific, synergistic plants in tincture form to create a formula that can be used for targeted purposes to enhance your body’s own ability to heal itself without chemical constituents.

Do you have a specific need that you do not see addressed in the current list of blends? I am always excited to receive requests for new blends to add to my growing product line.

Please see FAQ’s for Frequently Asked Questions about Herbalism.  Since I am not a Doctor, I do not offer consultations and I cannot give medical advice.

Tinctures & Teas

Tinctures and Teas that are readily available include blends that target infection, increase proper immune response, help to rid the gut of unhealthy flora and parasitic organisms, help relieve symptoms of depression and anxiety, aid the body in heavy metal detoxification, and more.  I have also created blends that target specific glands and organs/organ systems, such as the blood/brain barrier, liver, thyroid, and adrenals. This not only aids the body in detoxification, but actually nourishes the target, which aids in the restoration of proper function.
